During the manufacturing process, lubricating oils are used to prevent warping, shearing, or scratching. Even after cleaning and finishing, there can be residual oil on these parts that occasionally cause non-toxic odors to be perceptible by consumers. The oils used are all recognized by the FDA for food-grade manufacturing operations and the product complies with other regulatory and safety requirements so as to ensure that consumers are not exposed to any toxic fumes or substances.
