Your sous vide appliance should be regularly descaled using citric acid. Citric acid is a common household product used in candy making, preserving food, and to add a tart flavor to food and drinks. It can be found in most grocery stores, supplement shops, and e-commerce marketplaces. We do not endorse any particular brand of citric acid. Some common brands are Ball and Milliard, but it is also often sold under private label.
