How often should the coffeemaker be cleaned

To prolong the life of your coffeemaker, with normal usage, it is recommended to clean the unit once a month

Cleaning the outside of the unit

• Be sure the unit is unplugged and has cooled.
• Open the cover and remove the filter basket.
• Discard the paper filter with the coffee grounds.
• Wash the filter basket, carafe and carafe lid in dishwasher, top rack or wash by hand in hot, sudsy water.
• Wipe the appliance’s exterior surface, control panel and “Keep Hot” plate with a soft damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never immerse the coffeemaker in water.
