How often should the coffeemaker be cleaned
To prolong the life of your coffeemaker, with normal usage, it is recommended to clean the unit once a month

Cleaning the outside of the unit
- Be sure the unit is unplugged and has cooled.
- Open the cover and remove the filter basket.
- Discard the paper filter with the coffee grounds.
- Wash the filter basket, carafe and carafe lid in dishwasher, top rack or wash by hand in hot, sudsy water.
- Wipe the appliance’s exterior surface, control panel and “Keep Hot” plate with a soft damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads. Never immerse the coffeemaker in water.
