General Cleaning Instructions
- Make sure the unit is unplugged from the wall and then remove from the unit
- Allow the unit to cool
- Remove Coffee Basket, Spreader, and Pump Tube carefully - grounds and remaining coffee may still be warm
- Never immerse base of percolator. Wash inside of the unit with water and dish detergent
- The base of the unit is not dishwasher safe
- Rinse all parts and dry thoroughly
- Store with cover off
Cleaning the Pump Tube
- Make sure the washer on the bottom of the pump tube remains loose
- If coffee grounds get lodged in this area, remove under running water or with a wooden toothpick
Removing Buildup
Over time the accumulation of oil and coffee stains may build up on the unit. This may cause a bitter taste or cause the washer on the pump tube to lock.
- To remove build up, we recommend to clean the unit with "Dip it" or "Brew Rite" cleaner. Follow the instructions included with the cleaning product. These cleaning products are not manufactured or warranted by Spectrum Home Appliances, Spectrum Brands, Inc., or its subsidiaries or affiliates.
