We understand your concern regarding the gap along the top of your oven door. Our ovens are intentionally manufactured with a small gap (approximately 1/8") along the door to allow for excess steam and heat to escape. It is necessary to allow some heat to escape for the unit to maintain the set temperature. This also allows the heating elements to cycle on for long enough to brown the outer surfaces of your food. This is a reason why many people prefer food cooked in a countertop oven compared to a microwave.
