Toaster Ovens - Not Shutting Off
Revision as of 00:33, 17 January 2015 by imported>Jackie
If consumer states their toaster oven is not shutting off, please make sure you ask the following questions
- Was the customer preloading the timer? (This is REQUIRED to be in your notes for ANY toast timer issue.)
- Did the customer hear the timer bell go off?
- If the customer did not hear the bell, did the timer reach the off position, or stop before it?
- Did the unit shut off if the customer manually turned the timer off?
Reason Codes
Unit – Doesn’t Power Off
- should ONLY be used when the timer has gone off, stayed in the off position, and the unit was still heating.
Timer Dial – Turns To Stay On Mode
- should ONLY be used when the timer has in fact gone to the Stay On mode by itself.
Timer Dial – Stops Prematurely
- should be used when the unit was still on, the timer did not reach the off position, and the unit was still heating.
Dial – Difficult To Move Or Stuck
- should be used if the customer has preloaded the timer, but the timer never moved at any point thereafter.
