If the rice is too sticky or is sticking to the bowl

  • Recommend soaking the rice in water for 15 minutes before cooking. This will wash off the extra starch that causes the rice to stick.
  • add oil, butter or margarine to rice
  • make sure that consumer is using the correct ratio of water to rice (Verify that the consumer is using the rice measure provided with the unit and that the rice is added to the bowl before the water.}

In order to prevent the rice from sticking to the pot or being too sticky, we recommend soaking the rice in water for 15 minutes before cooking. This will wash off the extra starch that causes the rice to stick. We also we recommend adding oil, butter or margarine to rice to prevent the rice from boiling over or sticking. It is also important that you are using the correct ratio of water to rice and that the rice is added to the bowl before the water.
