This unit was recalled by the CPSC

This is the information regarding the Kenmore 12 cup percolator (model # KCP12) recall. This recall began 06/10/05. It requires us to send a label for the entire unit to be returned and we would replace it with the updated version (same model number, but the date code ended with the letter "N"). We have since run out of those though, and are now replacing them with the Farberware 12 cup percolator model number FCP412.

  • No sales of parts or product are allowed
  • This call must be documented in the Contact Manager.
  • Customer care specialists MUST ask customer for the date code. If the date code has an "N", then this model IS NOT ON RECALL. This is extremely important.
  • If the consumer cannot read the date code, the call should be handled as a recall
  • Choose reason code RECALL and disposition as EXCHANGE IN or OUT OF WARRANTY and treat as QI.
  • Choose reason code RECALL and disposition as EXCHANGE IN or OUT of WARRANTY.
