Slow Cookers - How do they Work
Revision as of 15:36, 30 July 2015 by imported>Jackie
Slow cookers turn meat, vegetables, beans and other foods into tender, flavorful meals.
How they work: Ingredients are cooked at a low temperature for a long period of time, becoming extremely tender and delicious. There is little evaporation so the food will not dry out. The natural juices from the meats and vegetables are retained in the pot.
Quick hints for use:
Don’t Peak – Lifting the lid while using a slow cooker allows the heat to escape and can extend your cooking time by up to 30 minutes
Overall dimensions - Slow cookers work best when about ½ to ¾ full so choosing the right size for your typical usage is important.
