CM2035B - Coffee Grounds in Coffee
Revision as of 16:52, 5 April 2016 by imported>Jackie
Possible Causes
If the consumer states that there are coffee grounds in their coffee it is possible that:
- Coffee is unable to drip from the brew basket fast enough, causing water to fill the brew basket and carry grinds outside of the filter where they drain into the carafe
- The filter was improperly inserted
Troubleshooting
- 2 filters stuck together - ensure only 1 filter is used.
- Too much coffee was used - ensure the proper amount of coffee is used - 1 tablespoon per cup, don’t heap too much into each measurement.
- An espresso or pour over grind was used; the coffee bean grind is too fine - use a courser grind.
- Ensure the filter is properly placed in the brew basket and the walls of the filter are vertical, against the brew basket walls.
