Irons - Auto-Clean Feature

Some irons have an Auto-Clean feature. Your iron will have a button labeled “Auto-Clean” if it has this feature. Auto-Clean releases water from the water tank through the steam vents on the soleplate to flush out any mineral deposits or fabric debris that may have accumulated.

• To properly use Auto-Clean, fill the water tank below the Max fill line
• Place the iron on its heel rest, plug the iron in, set to the hottest temperature, and allow it to preheat
• When the iron has reached temperature, unplug it and carefully carry it to a sink
• Press and hold the Auto-Clean button, be careful as the iron will release hot water and steam from the steam vents
• Rock the iron side-to-side and front-to-back to release as much water from the tank as possible
• When finished, release the Auto-Clean button, set the iron on its heel rest, and allow to cool before wiping the soleplate with a soft, dry cloth
