George Foreman - Using Aluminum Foil

We do not recommend lining or wrapping George Foreman plates in aluminum foil. Doing so may cause food to heat unevenly, and changes the thermal profile of the grill, which can lead to overheating and premature failure. Aluminum foil may also cause small scratches on the plate surface, which over time will lessen the efficacy of the non-stick surface.
