Toaster Oven - Rubber Feet
Revision as of 17:32, 11 May 2017 by imported>Jackie
In accordance with UL rules, our ovens are manufactured with 2 rubber feet, located on the front legs. The back legs are not intended to have rubber feet.
- On some units there is an indentation where the rubber feet would go, but none should be inserted into the back legs. Having rubber feet on the back legs do nothing to improve the stability of the unit.
For consumers who claim they have 3 rubber feet:
- If the unit was manufactured over 3 years ago, it may have originally came with 4 rubber feet and one foot may be missing. Inform the consumer that rubber feet are required only on the front legs per UL rules, and the back rubber foot can be removed (or moved to the front leg) to stabilize the unit.
- If a newer unit has a 3rd rubber foot on a back leg, this would have been a manufacturing error and the consumer should remove it to ensure the stability of the unit.
