Food Processor - Plastic Bowl/Jar Stains
Carotenoids are found in many orange and red vegetables, such as tomatoes and carrots, and stain almost all types of plastic.
- Before washing the bowl, the stain can usually be removed by rubbing it with vegetable oil.
- If the container has already been washed it may be possible to remove it or diminish its appearance by rubbing a piece of lemon on the stain, making sure to coat it with lemon juice. Let the lemon juice remain on the bowl until dry and then wash normally.
