Percolator - Using at High Altitude
At the highest populated altitudes in the United States (about 10,500 feet), water boils at about 90 degrees Celsius. Water at this temperature is certainly hot enough to properly brew coffee. However, the brewing process occurs faster and produces coffee at a different temperature, possibly resulting in milder coffee. To brew coffee with bolder flavor at higher altitudes, increase the grounds/water ratio or use a finer coffee grind to offset the difference in brew time.
