We appreciate your concern and thank you for your interest in our handheld steamer. The temperature of steam is 212° F (100° C), and it is generally recognized as a good disinfectant.
Our steamers are effective at killing 99.9% of bacteria based on lab testing on cotton, polyester and stainless steel. However, for questions on the efficacy of steam against any specific viruses we recommend contacting your county extension or discussing the matter with your healthcare provider.
