Results - Coffee Flavor, Smell Or Appearance
If the coffee tastes bad:
- Try cleaning the coffeemaker. To clean the coffeemaker, please refer to the cleaning instructions in the use and care manual. <agent>For general cleaning instructions please see: Coffee Makers - Descaling Instructions </agent>
- The wrong coffee grind could be causing the issue; use only coffee ground for automatic drip coffeemakers.
- If the coffee has become old the coffee may taste stale or bitter.
Coffee too Weak
If the coffee is not strong enough
- Add more coffee to achieve the desired taste.
- Make sure that you are using ground coffee for auto drip units. If the coffee grind is too coarse this may result in weak coffee
Coffee too Strong
- Use less coffee
- Make sure to use a ground coffee for auto drip units. If the coffee is ground too fine this may result in strong and or bitter coffee
Plastic or Chemical Smell/Taste
If the coffee has a “Plastic” or “chemical” smell/taste, please clean the coffeemaker with vinegar, following the directions in the Use & Care manual.
