Essentials for Brewing the Perfect Cup of Coffee

Water

  • Fresh, good tasting water is essential. 98% of a cup of coffee is water.

Temperature

  • Ideal Serving Temps: 155° - 175°F (70° - 80°C)
  • Ideal Holding Temps: 175° - 185°F (80° - 85°C)
  • Ideal Water Temps: 195° - 205°F (92° - 96°C)

Time

  • The brewing time( time water is in contact with the grounds) determines the amount of coffee material extracted, the flavor!

Standard Cup Size

A cup of coffee is not the same as a measuring cup.

There is no industry standard for cup size in coffee makers. Most manufactures define a cup of coffee as 4.5 fluid ounces. To be consistent with most manufactures, we have chosen to also use 4.5 fluid ounces as the standard for our coffee makers.
