Spectrum Brands routinely reviews information entered into the contact manager to identify quality concerns, improve products, and understand consumer perception. Therefore, it is important that thorough information is obtained and properly documented.
1. You are responsible for selecting the correct reason code for every transaction. Make sure to review all reason codes and their applicable uses to ensure your understanding.
2. You are responsible for asking probing questions to ensure you completely understand the situation, troubleshooting the problem, and documenting all responses and results.
Some examples of probing questions include:
- Does the Power LED illuminate?
- What type of food was being prepared?
- What was the speed, temperature, or mode the unit was set on?
- How many times has the unit been used before the problem?
3. You are required to obtain and document the date code whenever possible. Understanding how date codes are constructed is helpful; review this information.
4. You are required to obtain and document information for all other fields in the contact manger whenever possible.
