Objectives

Establish a consistent donation request process, as the fulfillment of legitimate donation requests help to strengthen the image of our brands and our corporation, and enhance our ties to the communities in which we live, work and serve.

Phone Agents

Identify or ask for the purpose of the product donation request:

Bloggers, reviewers, etc.:

• Refer to that specific process

Personal use:

People have asked for free product because of personal circumstances (not the same as asking for out-of-warranty assistance)

• The donation is immediately declined
  
• Up-sell opportunity when appropriate

Not-For-Profit organization, charity, fundraiser, etc.:

These requests are considered at corporate

• The request MUST be submitted in writing

• If from an organization, it should be printed on letterhead

• How long will the review process take?

Product requests are generally responded to within 30 days. Requests for cash donations or sponsorships may take longer.

• Are donation requests usually fulfilled?

We do consider donation requests on a case-by-case basis. Factors such as past participation, the impact to the community, expense, product availability, and budget are considered.

• Why must the request be made in writing?

We require the donation request to be made in writing on letterhead (if applicable) for internal business and record keeping purposes.

• Can the donation request be sent via email?

Requests must be a physical copy on the organizations letterhead (if applicable) and mailed by traditional means.

• How should donation requests from individuals (not organizations) who are independently planning a benefit, fundraiser or charitable event (not a personal request for free product) be sent if they do not have personal letterhead?

The individual should submit their request in writing and be sure to include adequate information about the benefit or fundraiser and appropriate contact information. Additional verification may be requested.
