QI and CC - Step by Step
Step 1
Determine the date code
Step 2
Is the date code within 5 years of current date?
- If answer is “Yes the product is considered in warranty
- If answer is “No” Inquire consumer purchase date (see Step 3)
Step 3
Is the purchase date within warranty?
- If answer is “Yes” see Step 4
- If answer is “No” Product considered out of warranty
Step 4
Is the receipt available?
- If answer is “Yes” Request a copy of the receipt (see Step 5)
- If answer is “No” Product considered out of warranty
Step 5
Did we receive the receipt?
- If answer is “Yes” Note purchase date, verify receipt is legit, from original sale, ect. (see Step 6)
- If answer is “No” the product is out of warranty.
Step 6
Is the receipt valid? (legit receipt, purchase date within warranty)
- If answer is “Yes” Product is considered in warranty
- If answer is “No” the product is considered out of warranty .
