Date Code Format: (Y)YWWXX (Y)Y*= Year 20(1)3 WW** = Week (01 - 52) XX*** = Manufacturing Code

Some Vendors cannot fit the entire date code on the plug. We allow them to remove the first digit from the year.

For example, 331XO would be equivalent to 1331XO. This would refer to a unit manufactured the 31st week of 2013 with a manufacture code of ‘XO’. When documenting the date code, it is preferred to record using the 4-digit format, even if the plug only contains three digits. This makes it easier for reporting purposes to ensure the documented date codes are consistent. Since 312XX could refer to 12th week of either 2003 or 2013, the more recent date code should be assumed. We will never observe a date code where the week goes above 52. Therefore, 361XX / 1361XX would not be a valid date code.
